Tango Beginners Seminar

Free & Donations, Partner Not Necessary

Week 1

Introduction to moving with a partner including the foundation of walking, weight shifts, and side steps.

FOUNDATION 101 : May 1st - June 5th

Week 2

Back Ochos, (“figure eights”). We will start practicing one of the most unique and defining movements in Tango.

Week 3

Forward Ochos, (“figure eights”). Continuing from the previous week, to learn ochos that move directionally forward.

Week 4

Molinetes and turns. Introducing circular movements, pivoting around your partner.

Week 5

Paradas & follower decorations. Leader’s exploration of foot contact along with moments for the follower to play with musicality.

Week 6

Musicality. Combining everything we have learned to varied rhythms and orchestras of Tango music.


Solo Tango Drills with Laura on Zoom
Every Tuesday 5:30 - 6:10pm

Practice solo exercises online led by Laura with 8th Style Tango. A fun tango workout to help you with your ochos and technique. Classes are donation based.
